Additional aftercare products, designed to enhance the peeling process, will be given to the patient. This is normal and will resolve over the first 24 hours.

Vigorous exercise should be avoided for the first hours. Moisturizer can be used during this time to help the appearance of peeling.

Once the skin is finished peeling, patients will notice a smoother, healthier complexion. The peel consists of Retinoic Acid to trigger peeling and unclog the pores while boosting collagen and elastin, Vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant to mitigate the damaging effects of UV exposure and remove toxins, hydroquinone to bleach and inhibit pigmentation and melasma while exfoliating to create a glowing even skin tone, Kojic Acid aids in fighting discoloration and brightens the complexion and hydrocortisone to soothe and reduce redness.

The ideal candidate will be in generally good health and have reasonable expectations for the procedure. Using a unique formula blend of TCA trichloroacetic acid , Tretinoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Phenol, Vitamin C and other minerals, the Vi peel works to safely and effectively remove the damaged layers of the sin, promote cell and improve the surface layer of the skin.

This treatment leaves you with clearer, firmer skin for a more youth, radiant appearance. The Vi Peel treatment is relatively painless for most patients. Those that are more sensitive may experience a mild-moderate burning or tingling sensation which is tolerable, however, the product contains anesthetic to help lower the discomfort level.

During the treatment, the skin is cleansed and the unique formula is evenly applied in two phases: Phase 1: to penetrate the skin cells on the surface Phase 2: to go deeper into the dermis where toxins and dead cells are hiding The solution dries quickly and patients may wash their face 5 hours after treatment. How much preconditioning of the skin is reQuired? Does it burn? You will feel a slight stinging sensation for a few seconds which subsides almost immediately. The peel is applied topically, and numbing of the skin takes place after the first pass. Some patients may feel more comfortable using a fan or cold air breeze. Some patients experience discomfort when the skin peels but it passes Quickly. How badly will I peel? The skin peeling associated with the Vi Peel is a light, fluffy peel that will start on day three and generally be finished by the end of day four.

The peeling is camouflaged to some degree by moisturizer. In some cases, the peel is invisible. Patients using Retin A may experience heavier peeling. The peel can be modulated by one of our aestheticians to produce a deeper, more aggressive peel, if desired. What will I look like right after the Vi Peel and during the next few days? The skin will look slightly tan, yellow or red immediately after the peel. On days one and two the skin will feel slightly tighter, with no visible signs of having had a peel.

Any pigmented areas might appear slightly darker. On approximately day three, you will begin to peel. The first signs of peeling usually begin around the mouth area and continue for a day or two. What about normal activities after the Vi Peel? There are no restrictions. We recommend avoiding heavy sweating for the first few days after the peel.

Normal activities can be resumed immediately after the peel. What will the Vi Peel do for my skin? It tackles skin problems at the cellular level rather than just burning skin off. The acids and vitamins, help erase fine lines and wrinkles, shrink enlarged pores and build collagen and elastin which tighten skin. It is effective in reducing or eliminating hyper pigmentation including melasma, the most difficult pigmentation issue to correct. The Vi Peel also provides excellent results for acne.

How many peels are needed? The peel may be repeated as often as every two weeks for problematic skin. It will reduce or eliminate age spots, freckles and hyperpigmentation, including melasma.

The peel will reduce the appearance of pore size, soften lines and wrinkles, clear acne skin conditions and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin for firmer skin. The Vi Peel can be performed in about 30 minutes and the peel is virtually painless.

Those with sensitive skin may experience a slight stinging sensation, which is controlled by use of a fan during application.
