The elementary school is wonderful, and there is a lot of community involvement. There is a festival each year at the park; a neighborhood deli and pizzeria, where neighbors gather; and a summer swim team at the pool You can walk to amazing restaurants like Barley Swine, Bufalina, Lick Ice Cream, El Chilito, and Little Deli.

It's hip, with great bars and restaurants, but also really family friendly, with nice parks, solid schools, and the children's museum nearby. It's grown a lot in the past five years or so, but is still on the edge of affordable. It's also just 10—15 minutes north of downtown, so you definitely still feel like part of the city.

Great mix of old and new builds throughout the neighborhood. But a very dog-friendly neighborhood. Easy to walk around the area. There is a dog bar on Burnet that is pretty awesome. Plenty of sidewalks and safe streets to walk on. Nice parks, great local swim school in the neighborhood. The children's museum is very close by; lots to do with kids of all ages. Lots of family friendly restaurants. Good choice of preschools, solid public school options with lots of parent involvement.

My husband works up north, so he travels against traffic coming into the city, so it's about a 15—20 minute drive for him.

I'm always against traffic, so it is pretty smooth. A dead end street with a neighborhood to match that feeling. Run down houses, traffic. This is the pits. Tons of personality in this neighborhood. Brentwood Park is a great place to spend an afternoon. If you're considering moving to the area, visit the Crestview Mini Max and check out Little Deli, those two places and their patrons are the epitome of living here.
