After being in the ministry of music for over 40 years now, I have many, many songs tucked away within me, and the Lord in his wisdom often brings forth the words of a song to speak to me. We are the hands and feet of Christ to those around us and to those within our Church body.

What an awesome privilege we have to bring the good news of our loving Savior to a hurting world. What a privilege we have to serve one another! Have you ever considered that Jesus calls your hands and feet, that are following Him and serving Him… beautiful? Sometimes I just tear up, thinking of how God uses ordinary people in everyday life, to be His hands and feet.

We are all needed within the body. We are all parts of it, and it takes every one of us to make it complete, for we each have different work to do. You make up the body. There are many parts, and each one of them is needed.

You are needed. You have worth, and you are beautiful! We all may not have the same work to do, but We all have an important work to do! Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. In all the seasons of our life, God has a unique plan for us. He created us with eternity in mind and He created us for a purpose. Those dedicated believers, who came before us, had the vision of a church that would encompass every neighboring farm, and at the sound of the bell ringing forth, the people came, one family at a time, to Glorify God.

I know that indeed God established our church for a purpose. I am excited and looking forward to what God has planned for us today. Yes, I believe God has a unique plan for Bakke! Although we cannot fathom what the future will hold, we can be assured that our Lord is holding our future.

Our church is a part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod; a "synod" means to walk together. We walk together under a theme of "Touching Lives forever with the love of Jesus" through Word and sacrament ministry. You are invited to come and grow with us as we reach out in love to the lost with a message of hope through our Lord Jesus Christ.
